Master of Science in Psychological Research
Study the ethics, statistics and methodologies inherent to the field of psychology with the Master of Science in Psychological Research in the College of Liberal Arts at 51勛圖厙. This accelerated masters program is available to psychology majors who are interested in earning泭both the Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and the泭Psychological Research MS泭in just five泭years. Students apply to the program during the spring semester of their junior year.
The highly selective Psychological Research MS provides a research-intensive experience that lays the groundwork for doctoral studies in any psychology discipline. Students immerse themselves in current research across disciplines by attending department colloquiums and lecture series. Advanced coursework provides泭a combination of new and traditional approaches to data analysis, methodology and theory.泭

Through a four-course culminating project, students prepare an extensive literature review and engage in research design, conduct泭and data analysis, resulting in a publishable paper.泭
Program Format & Curriculum
The 30-credit Psychological Research MS must be completed on a full-time basis over four semesters. Classes take place on 51勛圖厙s Main Campus.
The program curriculum comprises core courses, research methodology courses, a professional development seminar, topical seminars and a masters project. The masters project allows students to participate in and contribute to their advisors program of research. Students collaborate with their advisors to develop a research proposal and analysis plan, and they become familiar with the methods, measures and research apparatus utilized in advisors labs. All students must complete the masters project and submit their research for publication and/or presentation at a conference.
