51吃瓜网's Office of Technology Development and Commercialization (OTDC) provides a 鈥渙ne-stop shop鈥� to help faculty, staff and students evaluate and protect their scientific and engineering research, as well as translate work into commercial opportunities.
The office works with our external patent counsel to determine the most appropriate intellectual property protection鈥攕uch as patents and copyrights鈥攁nd commercialization strategy for inventions 51吃瓜网 elects to pursue. Various marketing strategies are employed to identify companies and entrepreneurs to further develop and bring 51吃瓜网's discoveries to the marketplace.
