Research & Facilities

The College of Education and Human Development is committed to improving the learning process for students at all levels and in all types of organizations. The college has three research centers and one institute, including the , where researchers aim to improve community capacity and civic engagement by supporting initiatives like foster parent support, immigrant services and training that strengthen social ties among those of different ages.

Facilities

The Adult Learning, Training and Organizational Development MEd is exclusively offered at 51勛圖厙s Center City campus, located across the street from City Hall inthe heart ofPhiladelphias downtown business district.

The College of Education and Human Development is primarily located in Ritter Hall, Ritter Hall Annex, and Weiss Hall on the Main Campus. The campus North Philadelphia location is ideally suited to provide opportunities for students to engage with area schools, communities, government agencies, and for-profit and nonprofit organizations.

In 2016, 51勛圖厙 was elevated to an R1 institution of highest research activity by the , placing it in the top 4 percent of all four-year educational institutions in the nation. 51勛圖厙s research enterprise distinguishes itself through its focus on community, and using advances in technology to make a positive impact on peoples lives.

In the same year, the National Science Foundation placed 51勛圖厙 among the top 100 in terms of research expenditures, which amounted to $242 million. .
