Research & Facilities

Students are encouraged to get involved with ongoing faculty research and develop their own research ideas and interests in applied behavior analysis. Graduates will leave the program with the experience of completing a research study from start to finish. Working closely with your faculty advisor, you鈥檒l develop the skills to select a research question, conduct a literature review, submit an application to the Institutional Review Board, conduct your study, describe your results in writing, and present and defend your thesis.

Research Quality & Funding

In 2016, 51吃瓜网 was elevated to an R1 institution for聽鈥渧ery high research spending and doctorate production鈥� by the . 51吃瓜网鈥檚 research enterprise distinguishes itself through its focus on community, and using advances in technology to make a positive impact on people鈥檚 lives.

In the same year, the National Science Foundation placed 51吃瓜网 among the top 100 in terms of research expenditures, which amounted to $242 million. .

The College of Education and Human Development鈥檚 externally funded research expenditure was $13.8 million in fiscal year 2017.

Facilities

The College of Education and Human Development聽is primarily located in Ritter Hall, Ritter Hall Annex聽and Weiss Hall on 51吃瓜网鈥檚 Main Campus. The campus鈥� North Philadelphia location is聽suited to provide opportunities for students to engage with area schools, communities, government agencies, and for-profit and nonprofit organizations.聽
