How to Apply

Graduate candidates must havea Bachelor of Architecture or a Master of Architecture degree.

Fee: $60 (Fee waivers are available for those who qualify.)

Once youve submitted your admission application, you will be able to upload supporting materials through your account in Tylers application portal by clicking submit required items. These include theletters of reference, statement of goals, r矇sum矇 and standardized test scores.

Letters of Reference

Three letters of recommendation should be obtained from college/university faculty members, gallery directors and/or curators familiar with the applicants academic and artistic competence.

Statement of Goals

In 500 to 1,000 words, describe your疳nterest in the program, research goals, future career goals, academic and research achievements, and how you will contribute to the Tyler School of Art and Architectures mission. Submit your statement through .

Transcripts

Official transcripts from all universities and colleges attended must be sent as part of the online application, including those where no degree was awarded, and courses were taken as an undergraduate皋r a graduate student.

Standardized Test Scores

GRE test scores are not required for an admission decision. Applicants may voluntarily submit GRE test scores, but scores will only be used as a supplement to required application materials.

If the applicant does not have a degree from an English-language institution, they must submit scores for a standardized test of English. In some circumstances, the Graduate Admissions Committee may request additional supplemental application materials or an interview as part of the admissions process.

English Language Proficiency Scores

Applicants who earned their baccalaureate degree from an institution where the language of instruction was other than English, with the exception of those who subsequently earned a masters degree at a U.S. institution, must report scores for a standardized test of English that meet these minimums.

Applicants must meet the Jan. 6 priority deadline to be considered for financial assistance. After this date, applications may be considered on a rolling basis.
