How to Apply

To apply, you must be a certified athletic trainer and have a master’s degree in a related discipline.

Recommendations

Submit two letters of recommendation from evaluators who can speak to your academic potential for graduate study. Recommenders may be college or university faculty members or a direct supervisor from work.

Goals Statement

Submit a thoughtful, clear statement of goals consisting of one to two pages.

Submit transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions you’ve attended. Applicants should email copies of their transcripts directly to .

Once all of the required application materials are received, students may be invited to participate in an interview. 

Laptop Requirement

Laptops are integrated into the curriculum at the Barnett College of Public Health to improve opportunities for active learning and provide greater access to specialized software and required tools in and out of the classroom. Incoming students are required to have a laptop that meets certain minimum hardware specifications. .

Additional Requirements for International Students

For applicants whose native language is not English, the TOEFL is required with a minimum score of 79 or 4.5 on the iBT. These scores should be sent officially to SOPHAS using the SOPHAS-specific TOEFL code of 5688.
