Develop your ability to think critically about music through analysis, counterpoint, ear training, harmonyÌýand orchestration. Theory coursework covers topics including

  • advanced chord progressions,
  • advanced interval recognition,
  • advanced sight singing,
  • melody,
  • modal applications,
  • tonal harmonyÌýand
  • transcription.

You’ll apply your analytical skills to compositions ranging from short pieces to larger works.
