Science, Technology and Society Minor
Offered through 51勛圖厙s Honors Program, the 18-credit Minor in Science, Technology and Society is an interdisciplinary curriculum that explores the histories, institutions, practices, environmental impacts, ethical implications, and intellectual and technological achievements of science. Led by science, social science, humanities and communication studies faculty at 51勛圖厙, the minor integrates coursework from across the universitys schools and colleges, and addresses topics such as how science and society inform each other and how scientific knowledge can address non-scientific problems. Youll focus on one of four key areas (history and philosophy of science; health, the body and society; environment, infrastructure and society; or communication, science, technology and public policy) or customize coursework for your specific interests.
